In daily life, the pump bottles produced by Jinyu Packaging are widely used for packaging products such as hand sanitizer, skin care products, and cleaners. Different types of pump bottles have slightly different opening methods, and mastering the correct method can avoid damaging the pump head, facilitate liquid replenishment, and also extend the service life.

how to open pump bottle

1. Conventional Press-and-Lock Pump Bottle (Most Common Type)

This type of pump bottle is commonly found in products such as hand sanitizer, body wash, shampoo, and lotion. The pump head is equipped with a locking clip, and it can be unlocked by "pressing + rotating" action.

Opening steps:Remove the protective film or sealing cover on the pump head → Fix the bottle body with one hand and press the pump head with the other hand and keep it from moving → Keep the pressing state (or you can directly rotate the pump head without pressing), rotate clockwise or counterclockwise by 30° to 60° → After hearing a slight "click" sound, release your hand, and the pump head will automatically spring back, allowing you to press out the liquid normally

Note: If the pump head is not unlocked after the first rotation, you can try in the opposite direction. If the pump head springs back too low, you can gently lift it up 1 to 2 times to help reset it.

2. Directly Unscrew Pump Bottle (Replenishment / Portable Type)

This type of pump bottle is often used for products that can be refilled, such as large-capacity cleaners, ointments, and travel-sized skin care products.

This pump head is connected to the bottle body through threads, and it can be directly unscrewed.

Opening steps: Observe if there is a threaded structure at the bottle mouth → Fix the bottle body with one hand and hold the bottom cylindrical part of the pump head with the other hand → Rotate the pump head clockwise to separate → After replenishing the liquid, rotate it counterclockwise to restore the seal;

Note: Do not pull the top of the pump head to avoid the suction tube from falling off. If it is difficult to rotate, you can increase the friction by using a damp cloth before rotating.

3. Special Anti-Leak Pump Bottle (Child Protection / Travel Anti-Leak)

This type of pump bottle has added safety or anti-leak design, commonly found in children's hand sanitizer and travel hygiene products.

Common types and operations:

Child safety lock model: The pump head has safety clasps on both sides, and you need to push open the lock before pressing and rotating to unlock.

Travel anti-leak model: When traveling, you can press the pump head and lock it, and then unlock it by gently lifting the pump head and rotating before using.

✅Tips:

Check the label on the pump head (such as the arrow "OPEN" or "LOCK"), and follow the instructions for the most accurate operation.

solution

The pump head cannot be turned or is stuck.

The pump head lock is too tight / The latch is misaligned

Wrap the pump head with a damp cloth to increase friction, then rotate it gently; or lift the pump head slightly and press and rotate it again.

The pump head fails to discharge liquid after being unlocked.

The pump head straw is not in contact with the liquid / The pump head is inhaling air

Press the pump head continuously for 5 to 10 times to expel the air; or check if the suction tube has come off.

The straw is pulled out along with the pump head.

The pump head straw is aging or loose.

Reinsert the straw connector tightly, and then tighten the pump head.

✅ Summary of Usage

Before using the new bottle for the first time, remember to unlock the pump head;

When adding liquid, leave some space (the liquid level should be 1-2 cm below the bottle opening);

Avoid introducing impurities or particles to prevent the pump head from getting clogged. Reinsert the straw connector tightly, and then tighten the pump head.
